Poor Quality Drinking Water
This can be caused by many influences. Since
water dissolves most everything it touches. Many tastes and
byproducts are added. Chemicals either natural or manmade find their
way into the water stream.
There
are also many salts that are present in drinking water. Today the
most alarming issue with water is the matrix of pharmaceuticals that
are being found. Due to the complexity of the chemistry city
treatment systems are not able to remove them. This means that even
though you are on city water there is a very good chance that some
chemicals will be in your drinking water. If you are on a well the
poor quality could be the presence of iron or elevated dissolved
solids. The term T.D.S. (total dissolved solids) refer to the amount
of inorganic products in the water stream. You won’t be able to see
them except when you look at your milky ice cubes or your creamer
floats on top of your coffee. These usually consist of sulfates,
chlorides, iron, calcium or nitrates. These alter the good taste of
various foods and beverages. Today one of the best ways to remove
the above mentioned problems is with reverse osmosis.
Nothing
is added to the drinking water, only removing the objectionable
items. Most all quality bottled water is processed with reverse
osmosis. A membrane with pressure applied separates the good from
the bad water leaving you with sparkling refreshing supply for your
family. By having the system installed in your house you have an
ample supply of quality water. No more rationing of water. And you
will have it for cooking as well. No lifting or storing heavy
bottles and no bottles going to the landfill. Other options for poor
drinking water include the use of carbon filters. While these do a
good job of polishing the water and removing some contaminants they
are not as thorough as reverse osmosis. Systems come in various
sizes and capacity. We can help you choose what is right for your
family. Call or contact us for a no cost water analysis. No pressure
just honest answers.
